Multivariate Changepoint Analysis
Multivariate Changepoint Analysis
This interactive map shows counties with detected multivariate changepoints in HIV prevalence, Chlamydia (CT), Gonorrhea (GC), and Primary and Secondary Syphilis rates. Counties are colored by the type of changepoint detected: increasing trends, decreasing trends, mixed trends, or no changepoints.
Changepoints indicate that trends in syndemic infections are changing over time. For example, if both HIV prevalence and Chlamydia (CT) prevalence are increasing, this indicates that the county is experiencing a syndemic of HIV and Chlamydia (CT).
For detailed information about the multivariate changepoint analysis methodology, see the Methods page.
Changepoint Status
Interpretation
- Increasing: Counties where at least one changepoint was detected with increasing trends in one or more pathogens
- Decreasing: Counties where changepoint(s) were detected with decreasing trends (but no increasing trends)
- Mixed: Counties with both increasing and decreasing changepoints detected
- No change: Counties where no significant changepoints were detected
Hover over counties to see detailed information about detected changepoints, including which pathogens changed and the years when changes occurred.
